This project was a partial demolition and reconstruction of two existing pumping plant sites, approximately 5 miles from each other. The existing structure was deepened by demolishing an existing slab and placing new slabs deeper between the existing sheetpile structures. New fishscreens, trashracks, trashrakes and trolley hoists were included in the new construction. We also deepened the channel and placed new rip rap.
A major part of the project was dewatering. At both sites we utilized a frame & fabric cofferdam on the upstream side of the structure, with a rubber bladder cofferdam on the downstream sides.
