A 120ft x 120ft addition was added onto an existing packing room. The new construction was a pre-engineered metal building with no interior columns. The exterior walls consisted of full height exposed aggregate tilt-up panels to match existing. A metal framed machine room was also built to accommodate increased refrigeration loads.
A critical piece of this project was embedding side by side wide flange beams in the floor slab to accommodate an automated pallet stacker. The flatness tolerance for the beams was +/-.001” over the entire length of the beam.
