Royal Ride Freezer Expansion- Phase I

This project encompassed three distinct phases. The main construction was 70,000 sf of freezer cold storage. The two secondary projects consisted of a 4,000 sf attached office building and a 16,200 sf dry storage addition. All three portions of the project were pre-engineered metal building structures, designed to fit and expand an existing cherry processing facility.

The main phase of this project was the freezer expansion. This portion of the project consisted of four pre-engineered metal buildings creating 3 large cold storage rooms, 2 loading/ receiving docks and hallway and staging areas. The cold storage rooms were constructed of 10” thick pre-finished metal skin insulation panels over the steel framework. Refrigeration and underfloor heating were utilized in the freezer rooms. The hallway/ staging building is a refrigerated space as well, being constructed of 2 ½” pre-finished insulation panels. The ceilings in this area are 2” thermax to create a clean process area.

The office addition is stucco finished metal insulation panels over a metal building steel framework with an architectural standing seam metal roof. The interior finishes included a tiled entry and hallways and stained wood trim with architectural wood doors.
